I agree that Benoit should have been given some love. His match with Angle at the 2003 Royal Rumble was great. But I do understand why he was left off the list also. Where was RVD vs Eddie Guerrero ladder match from RAW? WWE did a good job with that list. To pick 10 matches over the last 10 years is really tough.

If I had to guess, the criteria is "no free television." But that's just a guess. Bourne/Morrison would be the exception, of course. The Punk/Hardy cage match would have been my choice for matches, though each that you mentioned are great.

Personally, I would have liked to see Chris Benoit get some love, also. I know, he's written out of the history books, and I completely understand. What happened was unjustifiable and tragic. However, that doesn't change the fact that before he lost his marbles he put on some fantastic matches.

I think Jack vs. Triple H from the Rumble would have been a great choice as well, but I can understand their choice of No Way Out from that year. WWE and the fans have both had massive love for Hell in a Cell matches, which made this the obvious choice, at least as far as the WWE goes.

As far as free television matches go, I agree, more love needed to be spread to some of them. Just because a match is on free television doesn't mean it's bad. What about the Ironman match between Brock Lesnar and Kurt Angle that aired on Smackdown in 2003? You mentioned great matches from TV from just last year and the list has to be considerably longer if you encompass the entire decade.

According to this list, Evan Bourne vs. John Morrison from an episode of ECW last April is the greatest television match of the decade, seeing as it's the only TV match mentioned at all.

That match was fun, but I wouldn't say it's better than Cena/Michaels w/ JBL at ringside, Mysterio/Morrison for the IC Title, Punk/Hardy in a Cage Match, or even Christian/Swagger for February. And that's just stuff better in 2009.

The Cena/Michaels 'Mania rematch in London didn't get any love either. I'm going to assume that there's some criteria that I'm overlooking here.

The fact that Jack v. Triple H from the 2000 Rumble isn't here is a damn shame.
