Let’s start at the beginning, Bryan Danielson starts off on NXT wit the most unlikely of teachers The Miz. The Miz makes life miserable for Danielson where a budding feud was thought to be taking off. After Daniel Bryan has several matches with The Miz both in WWE and FCW it is clear that the WWE has a set storyline in place.. or so we thought. Then on this past Monday Night Raw they throw one of the greatest swerves our way as the Rookies, including Bryan Danielson attack not only the WWE Champion John Cena where Danielson is allowed to say to him, ” You’re not better than me! ” after attacking the ring announcer in what can only be perceived in a hostile invasion of the flagship show. After that in FCW Bryan Danielson once again is teamed with the Miz only to beat him down alongside the other NXT Rookies (check the video out on our fan page). But then we get the news on WWE.com that he has been released… wtf… Read the rest of this entry

First and foremost I want to wish the family of Brad Mackie my condolences, Mackie was the lighting director for the HDNet show and my prayers go out to them in this time. I also know that I am scheduling this to come out the day before Memorial Day so to anyone that reads this have a great Memorial Day Weekend.. I’ll be at a great BBQ so I hope most of you are able to do the same or something better.

Let’s move on as the theme of this is going to an even darker mode as I’m reminded of the chant, ” Joe’s gonna kill you…” Well ROH Bots time to change that tune to another guy who’s pretty much in the same mold of a Samoa Joe in terms of just a straight shooter who is husky and believably able to put the hurt on anyone he meets in or out of the ring. Kevin Steen.

This and I will bring up some thoughts on the recent TV Tapings and ROH news so I don’t want it to be a huge spoiler for anyone who reads this so I will give you ample warning when that is coming up.  Anyway Strikes & Bumps Vol XX is in full effect after the jump Read the rest of this entry

Ring of Honor has built its rabid fan-base based on giving the fans some of the most exciting wrestling this side of the Pacific in terms of style and “entertainment”. Let’s not mince words though, the last two iPPV’s did have their ups and downs, due to ROH Wrestling or otherwise. GoFightLive also is one of those internet based companies that are trying to be a step ahead of the curve with these internet based pay per views and together these two growing companies are striving to provide something new, something fresh for the consumer. Okay, maybe not new persay, but it’s obviously still in it’s infancy and while Ring of Honor is not a publicly bought company, there are some who are privy to the information as to how much this is truly adding to the revenue of the company. That aside though I have to say that after seeing the first two iPPVs, one would have to be blind to not see the potential. Of course much of it is also dependent on the internet speed of the consumer, but I would be willing to say that most pro-wrestling internet fans probably spend a decent amount of money to get the best internet that they can (small insert plug GET AT&T U-VERSE! if you can) so I would be willing to bet that if you bought the first two and possibly your internet feed wasn’t the best that you could at least blame up to 40% of that on your connection or lack thereof. So maybe you didn’t see everything you wanted to and perhaps that pissed you off enough to not give it another chance. But that’s not the issue here. The issue is what we can see… the action in the middle of that ring. Does Ring of Honor give you the best entertainment for your hard earned money when it comes to pay per view? I’d have to say a definite yes. Read the rest of this entry

Man, it’s been a while since I’ve written anything on here that wasn’t an indy news tidbit or results. But after school is beginning to calm down and everything else is falling into place I decided to take a new look at the one promotion that is still capturing my attention full blast. Yes of course I’ve heard all the rumblings of JR supposedly looking at TNA (yeah yeah he met with Dixie and her dad and has talks with HDNet), the releases of several top workers from WWE, and the fact that TNA Impact is still looking bleak in the ratings. So Ring of Honor for my money is still my top wrestling entertainment. We have two shows coming up next weekend that both look like top notch shows. Supercard of Honor V already is shaping up to a must buy DVD while the night before on paper isn’t going to get huge hype but will probably have awesome in ring action that will hopefully lead to a decent amount of sales. Let’s look at them a little more closely. Read the rest of this entry

For any fans out there of Coal Chamber, you have to remember these opening lines, ” If you get up but they slap you around, Then just remember that I will always be there, When I say to you daddy love you understand, I’m out in the real world again I’m trying…” These are the words that literally rang through my head when I read that Tyler Black had finally done what many of us had felt was two years too late… he had won the Ring of Honor World Title. But what does this mean for him and us as the fans? Read the rest of this entry
