The Raw Report 5-10-10

Well, this is my first official review of Monday Night Raw, and the first week of reviewing both brands of the WWE.  Last week, John Cena was able to Beat the Clock to choose the match type for his WWE Championship defense at Over the Limit, but before he could announce the stipulation, he was blindsided by Shamus.  We’ll see if he gets to announce his stipulation this week or not.  Flavor Flav has guest hosting duties this week.  I’m honestly a bit tired of the guest hosts, but at least they’ve been toned down a bit.  Without further ado, let’s get into Raw! This week’s ECW was barely better than last week’s, and that’s just because there wasn’t an Abraham Washington Show. The show opened with a video package hyping the Christian and Kane tag match against William Regal and Ezekiel Jackson. Going into this week’s show I thought it would center almost entirely on Christian and Jackson, considering the Royal Rumble is this weekend and they have the only ECW match at the pay-per-view event. Enter the Land of Extreme 1-19-10


Last week on ECW was the ECW Homecoming Finale that saw 8 men enter the ring and one immerge as the new No. 1 Contender to the ECW Championship. That man was Ezekiel Jackson. The behemoth now gets ready for the Royal Rumble in just under two weeks where he’ll take on ECW Champion Christian. In the Homecoming Finale, Big Zeke took out 3 former ECW Champions; will that soon be how Christian is referred to? Can he hope to stop the monster that is Ezekiel Jackson?
